Overview:
Axient is seeking a Junior Environmental Analyst to support our customer in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Environmental Compliance Program by conducting assessments, audits, and courtesy visits throughout the organization and subordinate units.
  • Report and brief results and/or findings to environmental stakeholders and make recommendations to resolve inefficiencies.
  • Assist the planning, curriculum development, and training execution with the organization’s designated Environmental Representatives.
  • Assist with the development, review and analysis of environmental products and deliverables which may include writing or reviewing EIS, EA, BA, BO, BE, Section 106 Cultural agreements or other environmental, biological, or cultural studies.
  • Perform historical research to determine root cause and assist in resolving environmental problems utilizing data collection and interpretation.
  • Digitally organize and store environmental documentation to include training, and tracking of assessments, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Must be able to work both independently, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Must have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or other related Environmental specialty.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work / job experience, preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing environmental technical reports.
  • National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) experience, including Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), environmental compliance background (to include air quality) and experience conducting environmental site assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with U.S. Army Environmental Regulations (Environmental Data Base (AEDB) and the Environmental Performance Assessment System (EPAS))
  • Professional certification in related environmental field
  • HAZWOPER Training
  • Software Application experience: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel to world-wide locations
