WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for engaging and diverse students that are willing to join our team for a 12-month (6+6) internship starting October 1st at our Nike and Converse Barcelona headquarters. Our ideal candidate will possess great communication skills, show willingness to learn and is not afraid of challenges. Our internships allow students to be fully immersed in meaningful work that impacts the future of the business. To be successful in the role our interns must be self-starters who are willing to drive innovation to win as a team.

Marketing and Communication teams at NIKE, Inc., help set the brand tone. They act as a creative force of specialists, driven to tell Nike’s stories of innovation and sport through advertising, brand strategy, digital engagement and product presentation. Using channels ranging from retail stores to social media, Marketing & Communication teams connect the science and art of Nike innovations to the hearts and minds of athletes around the world.
Nike Sports Marketing provide the vital linkage between the company and Nike-sponsored athletes, clubs and federations worldwide. Sports Marketing partner with premier athletes to collect insights about existing and future products, gather inspirational stories about sport and nurture long-term relationships between the athletes and the company. The team develops and executes sports marketing strategies, obtains endorsements and licensing agreements and serves as Nike ambassadors to the sports community worldwide. Their relationships build the foundation of Nike’s product creation: Nike creates exceptional products because its employees listen to exceptional athletes.
You will play a key role to support Nike in bringing innovation and inspiration to every athlete in the world. You will be supporting a team which attempts to foster the most efficient approach to our customers through digital and offline campaigns. This internship provides a challenging environment, possibilities to work cross functionally, and real job exposure that will get you up to speed if looking for a meaningful career in advertising, communications, marketing and sports marketing.
DEPENDING ON THE POSITION YOU ARE LINKED TO, THE TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
- Lead consumer connection by mapping in BCN by driving the consumer/community database.
- Act as the owner of the consumer voice in the city. Seek out & discover new talents.
- Support Brand Director and Brand Managers in specific seasonal projects, keeping close track of the allocated budget per project.
- Create Monthly membership analysis & reporting.
- Contributing to the work of Employee communication (assisting the team with proofreading communications, presentations, and newsletters creation).
- Internal events support.
- Support the execution of the external communication plans together with the communications team and the comms agency, working to create plans and activate them.
- Being a consultant on the media mapping with the Gen Z filter to the identification of the media, platforms, channels, and voices that will resonate more with the young generation in the communication plans.
- Analyze specific market to provide influential data and assessment for athletes’ investment strategy.
- Scout the next generation to identify next talents
- Create the right network of stakeholders to maximize Nike’s strategy
- Competence analysis to identify what are the best practices of our competitors
- Operations support (Product orders, seeding strategy and execution, project orders creation and management, product in & outflow controlling, seasonal contracts creation, etc.).
WHAT YOU BRING
- Graduate or Master’s Degree within Marketing, Business Administration, Advertising, E-Commerce, Digital Business, or other related fields.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in Catalan, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, is a plus.
- Skills such as curiosity, creativity, organization, proactivity, and ability to work across functions and eager to contribute to team success.
- Marketing, Digital savvy and Communications experiences are a plus (please include in your CV).
- Passion for the Nike brand and sports in general.
- Office Tools skills (Excel, Work, Keynote)
IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR AN INTERNSHIP, YOU MUST
- Fulfill the requirements to be hired thru a Practice Contract, if you have already finalized your official studies; or
- Be a student for the entire duration of the internship (enrolled in a university/higher education institution)
- In any case, be available for a 12-month fulltime internship starting October 1st, 2022
