SUBSTITUTE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR

Location: 2301 W Ashton Boulevard, Lehi, UT 84043

Status: Part-Time / Non-Exempt

Hours: Variable 4-8 hour shifts between the hours of 7:30am-10:30am, 11:30am-2:30pm, 6:00pm-9:00pm

Pay / Salary: $23.46 / Hour

BENEFITS:

Part-time employees averaging 15 hours / week over 3+ months of employment could be eligible for our MTECH tuition waiver.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of the Substitute Information Technology Instructor include, but are not limited to:

• Providing effective instruction and facilitating student learning for the program.
• Following course syllabi
• Teaching and requiring safety as a regular daily component of skill practice
• Participating in the formation of the College Strategic Plan and accomplishment of specific program strategies
• Mentoring students, providing regular feedback on progress, with the central goal of the program being student success. This includes completion of the program, successfully passing any required licensure or certification tests, and placement in related employment.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelor's Degree in Technology or a related field
• -AND- Minimum three years' of proven industry experience working in IT or a related occupation
• -AND- Hold relevant industry certifications
  • Current professional or technical certifications strongly preferred: CompTIA A+; CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+; CompTIALinux+; Cisco CCNA and Microsoft

• Knowledge of the troubleshooting process
• Prior teaching experience preferred
