About us: Villa Esperanza Services is seeking difference makers to join our Independent Living Skills Program as a Skills Instructor! Our Independent Living Skills (ILS) program provides support for developmentally disabled adults, 18 years and older, who seek to maintain a self-sustaining, independent living environment in the community.

Your role: As a Living Skills Instructor/Living Skills Trainer, you will be assisting clients with employment and essential living skills. You will have the opportunity to work with participants and seek opportunities to teach, train, and encourage independence for performing living skills, while offering supervision to participants. Skills Instructors are expected to adhere with all safety standards, regulations and policies.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10am - 6:30pm, (40 hours/week)

Compensation: $19.25/hour.

Requirements:

• You MUST be willing to drive your own vehicle! (Mileage reimbursement provided twice a month at the IRS approved rate).
• Requires proper vehicle insurance and a valid CA Driver License.
• Applicants must have a good driving record that meets agency standards.
• Must be willing to use personal vehicle to drive within the community for work-related purposes.
• We are seeking candidates who are willing to work in the Ventura County area (Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Moorpark and Westlake Village).

COVID-19 Considerations: This position requires the employee to work in an Adult Program governed by the order from the State of California – Health and Human Services Agency/California Department of Public Health dated September 28, 2021. Due to the aforementioned order, all workers who provide services or work in Adult Programs must be fully vaccinated. Therefore, the selected candidate hired for the position must submit proof of vaccination for COVID 19 prior to the first day of employment.

Final candidates must satisfactorily complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical & TB screenings, and submit proof of vaccination for COVID-19 + booster dose, if eligible.

**Final candidates who complete this process will also be eligible for a sign on bonus of $1,500 with *$250*payable upon completion of the first 3 months of employment,*$350* payable upon completion of 6 months,*$400* payable upon completion of 9 months, and *$500* payable upon completion of 12 months of employment.
