About

I have an immediate need for an in-person 10th grade Chemistry honors tutor in Commack to meet at the Commack Public Library. The student is in 10th grade attending Commack High School. She needs to work with a tutor for her Chemistry Honors class.

The student states that her teacher does not teach in a way that is understandable for her and therefore has gotten behind and will require a tutor that can assist her in reviewing past and current concepts to better understand how and why they work.

The student's goals are to receive an A in the class as well as to gain a better understanding of how the chemistry works and not just to memorize concepts.

The student wants 1 hour sessions once a week. She is available Tuesday & Thursday from 4pm-10pm as well as Saturday from 2pm-5pm.

Job Requirements

• Tutor must be willing to work face-to-face at the Commack Public Library at 18 Hauppauge Rd in Commack.
• Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)

Student Availability

TUE & THUR 4pm-10pm

SAT 2pm-5pm
