We are looking for a Regional HR Process & Tools Specialist (ideally located in lower SE Michigan near one of our facilities in Plymouth, Troy or Lake Orion.) In this role the Regional HR Processes and Tools Specialist will be an integral part of the Oerlikon US Shared Services team and will report directly to the Regional Tools & Process Manager. This person will also act as HR Reporting administrator and coordinator for HR and business. Acting as Regional HR Processes & Tools Specialist, this role will work to continually drive the evolution of the technology solutions, best practices and utilization while ensuring adherence to the global framework. They will maintain proactive customer focus with excellent collaboration with internal partners across the HR organization and other stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintains, evaluates, troubleshoots and ensures data integrity of HRIS by performing routine audits of HRIS and identifies training opportunities for system users.
  • Manages foundation objects, mass uploads & picklists according to the requests from local HR.
  • Assists with development and improvement of functional process flows for employee life cycle processes that reflect collaboration steps between across departments (HR, SS, IT, Finance and other internal departments).
  • Test, validate and deploy HR Systems configuration across different modules in SuccessFactors (e.g. Employee Central, Recruiting, Time and Attendance, Succession).
  • Identifies and resolves issues pertaining to system configuration, usage, and integration.
  • Develops new/revised requirements and provide recommendations on workarounds in the absence of available functionality.
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve existing HRIS processes, functionality and work flow, and maximize technological capabilities to reduce manual processes
  • Assists with development and design policy review, approval, implementation, training and acknowledgement process for all stakeholders
  • Take an active part in centralization of HR administration; define administration processes and create efficiencies.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Confirms accuracy and maintain integrity of all data entered in HRIS.
  • Performs group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, and researches/reports on any data discrepancies.
  • Responds verbally or in writing to inquiries, complaints or problems providing information requiring comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Responds to and troubleshoots support tickets.
  • Run regular audits over HR data and reports issues to be corrected.
  • Training employees on internal systems.
  • Support other HR team members by designing customized reports providing source data.
  • Spotting and communicating opportunities for improvement of processes via input to the HR function lead.
  • Operational Support: Coordinate and oversee system (uMatter) activities of local Key Users, be their 2nd level support contact and coach. Resolve or escalate technical or functional issues. Give advice and share best-practice.
  • Data Governance: Monitor data quality, run regular checks and ensure that process guidelines are followed and expected data quality metrics are met. Ensure that full ownership for data quality is taken by local HR colleagues.
  • System administration: Responsible for specific system admin tasks like correcting wrong data entries, approving workflow requests, troubleshooting user account issues, etc.

Your Profile:

  • University degree in HR or Administration.
  • 5+ years with SuccessFactors including detailed foundation objects managements, mass uploads & business rules.
  • Experience in reporting and Human Resources processes is required.
  • Previous experience in a Shared Services Company/BPO is a plus.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Experienced in handling large amounts of data, producing statistics and KPI’s.
  • Strong communication skills across all management levels, as well as analytical and conceptional abilities.
  • Professional knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
  • You can perform multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • High level of commitment, personal responsibility and perseverance.
  • Solution-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

For individuals assigned, hired to work or working remotely in/out of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, Washington State, or New York City, Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $76,800 to $105,600 per year. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
