Job Title: Grant Writer & Contracts Administrator FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Grant Writer & Contracts Administrator serves on the key staff team and provides strategic leadership in financial development to advance the YMCA’s mission.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares and coordinates proposals for government grants, private foundations and corporations.
- Ensures timely financial and narrative program reports are submitted to funders.
- Collaborates with Program Directors to ensure standards are followed as required by grants.
- Prepares and submits all claims for reimbursement for government contracts, working closely with finance department staff.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and files for Development and Finance use.
- Manage contract submission, including all required forms and signatures, for all city, state, and federal contracts across several agencies
- Review all contract guidelines and gather/complete the appropriate forms required.
- Coordinate with program staff to complete and submit timely and accurate contract work scopes
- Work closely with designated Finance staff to complete and submit and accurate timely project budgets
- Ensure appropriate program, finance, and executive staff have reviewed all contract guidelines
- Coordinate signatures from agency leadership on contract documentation
- Submit contract packages to appropriate government agency via Grants Gateway online systems, email, mail, or in person delivery when requested
- Develop strong working relationships with contract managers at government agencies to address any questions/concerns related to contract packages
- Assist with special events, board meetings, and complete other relevant tasks as assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum three years working in non-profit agencies working specifically on grant/contract administration is required.
- Strong mathematical, analytical skills, critical thinking skills and multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
