Carleton-Willard Village, a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), offers our residents the very best in retirement living on its beautiful 72-acre campus in Bedford, MA. Organized as a CCRC in 1982, Carleton-Willard became the first full-scale continuing care retirement community to be accredited as such in the Commonwealth. It continues to combine improvement and innovation with unflagging commitment to setting the standard for continuing care at every stage of retirement from living independently to long-term nursing care with 200 independent dwellings and 179 licensed beds.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting and screening every person entering the Village as well and be the main point of contact for all incoming calls, connecting callers to the appropriate party.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Answer all incoming calls to the Village in a timely and professional manner.
· Greet all visitors, staff, vendors and residents courteously and in a hospitable manner.
· Make sure all guests are signed in the Guest Book and receive a Visitor badge.
· Monitor for proper mask wearing and hand hygiene when each person is entering the facility.
· Assist residents with any questions they may have.
· Sort all incoming mail.
· Distribute daily newspapers to residents.
· Perform daily resident Refrigerator check-in.
· Assist in typing “Today’s Events” as needed.
· Make any necessary overhead paging system announcements as needed.
· Point of contact for David Fitch House Reservations.
Required Skills:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Effective communication with staff, residents and families
· Professional office dress attire required
· Must be customer service excellence oriented
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· 1 year+ in an office or customer service/hospitality position that requires clear communication with residents/office staff, and personal interface with residents, visitors, vendors, and contractors
