Position Summary

The position of Fraud Analyst shall be responsible for routine monitoring of bank activity and transactions to guard against and reduce financial fraud and crimes against the bank, our customers and our employees. The position will serve as back up for daily review of Yellow Hammer Fraud.

Essential Duties

  • Resolution of all EFT Errors
  • Assist branch personnel with EFT Errors
  • Resolution of all fraud disputes
  • Daily review of Bill Pay Exceptions for fraud
  • Daily review of Bill Pay OFAC reporting
  • Assist with Retention Schedules for bank to include: recording, retention and destruction
  • Assist with AML monitoring – review of system reports to identify any suspicious trends and notify BSA Officer of findings
  • Assist with due diligence on high risk customers/accounts – review of activity (deposits, withdrawals, wires, etc.) on high risk accounts (MSBs, NBFIs, NRAs, etc.) as warranted and/or as scheduled
  • Monitor high risk loan customers/accounts – review of payment activity, early payoffs, cash secured (CD’s, Security, etc.) as warranted and/or as scheduled

Secondary Duties

Account Analysis review for suspicious activity or patterns

Assist call center as needed with basic call center activity;

  • Mobile deposit reviews
  • ATM Deposit reviews
  • Travel Alerts
  • Customer service inquiries/ calls and chats

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of personal computers and software for word processing and spreadsheets is required. Position demands attention to detail and ability to accept constructive criticism to effect positive improvement. This position requires the ability to meet established deadlines, work productively in groups and individually, communicate effectively in writing and orally, operate standard office equipment, work extended hours occasionally, and travel to various bank locations and training activities as needed.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in bank operations, back office preferred
  • Graduation from high school (or equivalent)
  • Experience with Excel and Word required
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Effective communication a must
