Westinghouse Electric is looking for a
Fluid Systems Engineer, supporting Plant Engineering systems with extensive knowledge of fluidic systems of the nuclear power plant and its operation including also the electrical, control and structural aspects of the systems.
The most important systems considered are such as: BOP systems (main steam; condensate and main feedwater systems; circulating water systems; etc) and Auxiliary systems (cooling water systems; HVAC systems; radioactive management systems; fire protection; handling systems, etc)
The candidate will be in charge to perform activities related to the fluid systems design. Among others, following activities will be carried out in the position:
- Design Criteria
- Systems Sizing
- Equipment Sizing
- PFDs and P&IDs
- Datasheets
- Specifications
- Suppliers Documentation Follow up
- Installation Supervision
- Performance of walkdowns
- Resolution of plant technical issues
Location will be Barakah Nuclear Power Plant site in the United Arab Emirates. The duration of this onsite support service is one (1) year. In addition to the design/resolution activities proper of the fluid systems role, the following activities are also included in this service:
- Develop strong customer relationship, identify plant needs, technical problems or issues where Westinghouse may support.
- Identify needs where Design Change Packages (DCP) will be needed for the plant and Westinghouse may support.
- Interface with the rest of Westinghouse team for problem resolution.
Requirements
Bachelor degree (Master preferred), on industrial / mechanical / process engineering.
It is very important ability to relate to different technical departments of the customer, solve emerging problems and detect business opportunities.
Any related experience in nuclear field, specially in described activities is required.
Fluent in written and spoken English, and Spanish is desirable.
