HCA Florida Putnam Hospital located at 611 Zeagler Dr. Palatka, Florida. At our 99-bed, acute care facility, our highly-trained staff serve Palatka-area patients with the latest technologies and individualized care plans to meet specific needs. Our range of services includes a 10-bed intensive care unit, cardiac cath lab, family birthplace center, medical and surgical units, step-down care unit and a 24-hour emergency department. We also provide inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.

Under the direction of the EVS manager and or the EVS Supervisor the EVA Aide performs a variety of duties including, discharge room cleaning, Occupied patient room cleaning, isolation room cleaning, general office cleaning and cleaning of all the ancillary areas of the hospital, and outer buildings. Trash and linen removal, floor stripping, waxing and carpet cleaning.

Disinfects and cleans the facility following the CDC, OSHA, and Infection Control Guidelines. To insure the esthetic and aseptic standards are met throughout the facility.

Responsible for economical use of supplies.

Follows BSI precautions when handling trash, soiled linen, and biohazardous waste.

Reports to managers/supervisor for additional projects.

Participates in emergency preparedness drills, and actual emergencies as instructed.

Follows all hospital and department safety policies and procedures at all times.

Strips and waxes hard flooring according to procedure, paying close attention to baseboards, corners, edges.

Machine scrub tile flooring.

Extracts, and/or bonnet clean carpeting according to procedures.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED preferred

EXPERIENCE: six or more months of hospital cleaning preferred

Ability to read, write and understand English oral and written instructions.

Ability to change shifts and/or hours or permanent and/or temporary basis.

Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled and/or requested.

Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully

Ability to exhibit excellent customer service.
