Posting Summary
The Administrative Business Service Center (ASC) offers a dynamic environment and unique opportunity to support multiple departments across the University with their finance and human resource transactional needs. The Finance/HR Support Specialist II is a member of a highly supportive team of efficient and skilled Specialists who each support a group of designated University customer departments. The Specialist II supports customers with higher levels of sensitivity and transactional needs and serves as a liaison between customer units and University central offices, using judgement and comprehensive knowledge in application of University policies and other regulatory provisions.
The Specialist II supports customers with unique and varied transactional needs including but not limited to: processing financial transactions such as requisitions for purchase orders, reallocating purchasing card transactions to appropriate accounts, and reconciling accounts; and processing human resources actions and changes such as recruitments, hiring actions, separations, and processing additional pays.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources or related field and one to three years of related experience required. Demonstrated commitment to customer service required. Exceptional communication and team-collaboration skills required. Proficient in spreadsheet, database and word-processing applications. Attention to detail and effective organizational skills required. Ability to effectively perform duties within deadline-driven environment and frequently changing customer demands required.

Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software highly desirable. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and PeopleAdmin desirable.
