Position Summary

PMA is currently seeking a Field Contract Manager for an exclusive assignment with one of our transportation clients. This role will be supporting a large public works project in New York City.
In this role, you will assist the management team with resolving change order issues in accordance with established procedures. You will participate in negotiations, document the change order negotiations, prepare the modifications, track the modification approvals, and maintain the modification files.

Position Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline required.
    • 3 to 5 years of general construction experience including an understanding of contracting, financial, claims, and scheduling required.
    • Must have a sound knowledge of contractual relationships, and an ability to read contract specifications and drawings.
    • Experience in the identification of risks and analysis of impacts on the project budget required.
    • Strong communication skills and client/stakeholder management required.
    • Demonstrated competency with MS Excel, and Word required.
$62,400 - $114,400 a year
The salary range for this position is $62,400 - $114,400.
A hired employee will be placed within this salary range based on a variety of legitimate business reasons, including but not limited to the individual’s scope of relevant experience and geographic location.
Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
