The Department of Hawaiian Homelands has ONE (1) urgent vacancy located in Waimea/Kohala.
This position REQUIRES a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B at the time of appointment.
As a condition of employment with the State of Hawaii, some positions may require that all qualified external candidates who have been given a conditional offer of employment must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and shall be fully vaccinated by his/her/their employment start date. Operates two or more types of motorized equipment such as heavy trucks, heavy rollers, loaders and light tractors as a major work assignment; may perform manual work tasks in connection with general construction and maintenance work; may operate graders and heavy tractors as an incidental work assignment; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Requirements:
General Experience: ONE (1) YEAR of work experience involving the operation of at least TWO (2) of the motorized equipment representative of the class equipment representative operator III (e.g. heavy motorized equipment such as trucks having a factory rated capacity of 5 tons or over, rollers of 5 tons or over, loaders, and tractors such as D-4, TD-6 and TD-9 with bulldozer blade attachments), or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Commercial Driver's License (CDL): At the time of appointment, applicants must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B.
A valid out-of-state CDL may also be accepted. If you are selected for this position, you must transfer your out-of-state CDL to a Hawaii-issued CDL prior to your employment start date and within 30 days of arriving in Hawaii. Your Hawaii-issued CDL will be verified by the hiring agency before you can start work. Please contact the Honolulu CDL Office at (808) 768-4185 for information on how to obtain a Hawaii CDL.
The Federal Department of Transportation regulations require pre-employment testing for controlled substances. If you are selected for this position, the hiring agency will notify you of when and where to report for testing.
