Overview:

The role of Environmental Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be to help with developing and executing our regulatory compliance program. The compliance specialist will perform high-level administrative tasks to ensure compliance functions are completed and client expectations are met.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute regulatory compliance program.
  • Regulatory Compliance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Manage and perform the reporting and record keeping requirements for all environmental and Regulatory compliance programs.
  • The compliance specialist will perform high-level administrative tasks to ensure compliance functions are completed and customer expectations are met.
  • Manage Conflict Minerals due diligence processes including supplier Reasonable Country of Origin Inquiries
  • Research and keep up with changes to regulations such as: EU RoHS, EU REACH, California Prop 65, Anti-Human Trafficking Compliance, OFAC, NAFTA, Toxic Substance, EU Waste, and other related regulations and respond with documents for each regulation for the customer’s request.
  • Advise on best practices for sustainability reporting.
  • Manage the relationship with and activity of MEC 3rd party compliance reporting partner.
  • Gather and review suppliers and 3rd party declarations of conformity.
  • Contact MEC suppliers and gather necessary information on any urgent, ad-hoc compliance requests.
  • Work with MEC purchasing where compliance requirements necessitate supplier corrective action.
  • Communicate progress updates and findings.
  • Develops and recommends office procedures and systems.
  • Reviews and summarizes miscellaneous reports and documents; prepare background documents, as necessary. Distributes reports, forms, documents, and correspondence in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental compliance, engineering, sustainability, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 2-3+ years relevant experience, preferred experience with ESG
  • This Individual must be driven with high energy, attitude, interpersonal skills, and self-motivation to succeed.
