Job Summary
To prepare envelopes for shipping.
Responsibilities
1. Forms shipping cartons.
2. Removes envelopes from discharge box in quantities to be boxed
3. Forms and places required envelopes into folding box
4. Closes folding box and places required number of folding boxes into carton.
5. Packs econo-boxes or manually filled boxes into cartons from discharge table.
6. Runs shipping cartons through 3M Taper and asides to pallet as necessary.
7. Checks envelopes once per carton to ensure proper quality
8. Cleans machine every roll change & monitors for possible jams
9. Keeps econo-box hoper full.
10. Opens bundles of shipping cartons as necessary.
11. Repacks envelopes as necessary to insure acceptable quality of trays.
12. Writes AB tags.
13. Prepares daily record of work performed.
14. Monitors inventory level of routinely used production materials and supplies, informing appropriate personnel of inventory needs.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Ability to read and apply content of warnings, job tickets, labels, notes, display panel as well as operating manuals and other related information in order to operate equipment to produce a quality product.
3. Ability to write to record work performed daily and to complete AB tags.
4. Ability to perform basic arithmetic to count boxes.
5. Ability to independently complete tasks as assigned by others.
6. Ability to communicate to discuss problems with adjusters and supervisory personnel.
7. Ability to use tipper, hand jacks, handling equipment, glue guns, tape guns, rags, pail.
