Eligibility/Referral Specialist 2

Recruits program participants and prospective employers, develops personalized support services and employment plans; Selects and refers clients to job openings, internships, educational and training opportunities; Interacts with employers to provide job matching, recruitment, and other workforce development services as needed; Plans and participates in public relations activities with outside agencies, organizations, and community partners to inform them about related services and programs.

Determines eligibility for one or more programs using state systems, established rules, procedures, and processes; Conducts on-going case management, crisis intervention, monitoring and post-termination follow-up services, including job retention and job progression; Continually evaluates and assesses customer needs and recommends appropriate support services and referrals; Collaborates with co-workers, service providers, employers and various organizations (e.g., agencies, institutions) in providing comprehensive services, participates in team case management approaches and ensures supportive services are in place; Matches customer skills, abilities and employment goals with appropriate work site; Monitors customer progress and works with customers in a variety of ways (e.g., scheduling appointments, creating/editing resumes, job readiness services, calling or writing to customer and sites, requesting good cause from customers for non-participation); Secures approval for expenditures, and prepares/sends authorizations; Processes incoming invoices, tracks in case file, and forwards to supervisor/fiscal unit for payment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- One year experience as an Eligibility Referral Specialist 1 or equivalent education, training and/or experience.
