The Integrated Facilities team in Bowling Green, OH is currently searching for an Electrical Engineer/ Department Manager (HYBRID) to join our Team in the Bowling Green, Ohio office.

The successful candidate is expected to have experience with consulting design experience in electrical power, lighting, and grounding systems for institutional, industrial, and commercial buildings and municipal facilities. The candidate must be and Electrical Engineer and have good communications skills and working knowledge of project design, construction, design software, cost, and scheduling. The candidate will engage as a project manager or team leader on selected projects, complete designs using design software, direct designers, AutoCAD operators, and act as support on other projects. Position will report directly to the Integrated Facilities department manager and act as the Assistant Department Manager for the greater team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as Department Manager, including personnel scheduling and oversight, and interfacing with corporate management. Opportunity for growth potential within 6 – 12 months.
  • Act as project manager on Electrical Department projects.
  • Act as the Electrical Team Lead on selected multi-discipline projects.
  • Complete designs using design software, directing designers, and assistance from AutoCAD operators according to project needs.
  • Experience with power system design, including medium voltage to 15kV.
  • Experience in electrical substation design and high voltage is desirable.
  • Familiarity with lighting software.
  • Knowledge of project design, cost estimation and scheduling.
  • Analyze existing client systems and/or conduct studies to determine design options.
  • Perform engineering calculations and create estimates, prepare written reports for analysis projects.
  • Research and apply code provisions to design as needed.
  • Working knowledge of institutions, industrial, and commercial buildings and municipal facilities, and ability to execute related designs.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage junior level staff and delegate work to design team.
  • Ability to work within a hybrid office environment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit software is preferred.
  • Perform technical reviews and provide recommendations regarding designs and reports prepared by sub consultants or suppliers.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in an engineering capacity.
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineer licensure required, or ability to obtain Ohio registration within 6 months.
