The Palmetto Dunes Property Owners Association is looking for friendly, enthusiastic individuals to join our Department of Security Operations. Current opening is for a Night Shift Security Dispatcher- 6 pm to 6 am.
What you will be doing:
- Under general supervision, the Dispatcher receives and dispatches emergency and non-emergency calls for Palmetto Dunes Security Operations. Primary responsibilities include the operation of phone, computer and electronic communication equipment.
- Receive and answer incoming emergency and non-emergency communications from the public, law enforcement agencies, employees or other organizations via telephone, radio and video monitors. Secure necessary information including nature, location and severity of the call. Determine the priority of the call.
- Dispatch appropriate personnel via radio and maintain contact as appropriate throughout call for service.
- Operate a variety of department equipment to include radio, telephone, various software, television, camera monitoring equipment.
- Monitor cameras for abnormal or suspicious activity.
- Utilize software to enter, prepare, update and maintain various activity logs (activities, calls, brief sheets)
- Communicate as requested to other emergency services, owners, guests, rental, management companies, and various other agencies to provide and receive information.
- Work under stress with accuracy in a calm and efficient manner. Must consistently display a demeanor that promotes excellence in customer care.
- Provide assistance as requested to serve as a Customer Care Specialist at the PDPOA gates or the Pass Office.
- Regular on-site attendance is an essential function of this position. The role of a dispatcher can only be performed in-person.
- Other duties as assigned including routine clerical functions and answering non-emergency business lines.

Eligibility Requirements
This position must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and a drug urinalysis.
PDPOA’s offices and worksites are smoke-free work environments.
