Wesley House Family Services is a nationally accredited not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting and nurturing children and strengthening families with services spanning Monroe County, Florida. Social services provided by WHFS include: Full case management, Intensive preservation services, Enhanced-in-home services, Intensive family reunification services, Prevention & intervention services, Foster care & adoption services, Health families Monroe and Inez martin child development center.
Director of Community Based Care will be doing-
- Directly supervises Preventions Manager, Case Manager Supervisors and Training Manager (TBD)
- Directly oversees assigned program areas
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and coordination with all WHFS Departments, specifically with the Quality Assurance Quality Improvement, Licensing Department, Finance and Human Resources Department
- Management of programmatic budget and Flex Funds
- Complies with Wesley House Personnel and Finance policies, Ethical Standards and Wesley House Confidentiality requirements
- Works hand in hand with the Quality Assurance Department to develop program policies and goals, address performance improvement measures and develop improvement plans (when required)
- Accurate and timely completion of internal and external documentation
- Develop and meet all Council on Accreditation Standards that apply to the Programs Director oversees.
- Represent the organization in a professional manner to all audiences we serve
- Consistent travel between all WHFS offices throughout Monroe County and South Florida
- Travel for statewide meetings and training
- Performs other duties as assigned
The successful Director of Community Based Care candidate will have-
- Master’s degree in social work or related field preferred plus three years of experience in Human Services or Child Welfare program and/or a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field and 5 years of experience in Human Services or Child Welfare program and/or a doctorate degree in social work or a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience
- Thorough knowledge of management practices and procedures
- Broad based knowledge of child welfare, Preventions and social services delivery system (Dependency Care system experience)
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and assist others in being successful
- Excellent organizational, coordination and project management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills with a diverse range of groups
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent computer hardware and software skills including the use of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
- Physically Active Work. Exerts up to 20 Lbs. of force and/or lifting occasionally
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, proof of insurance and a method of transportation
- Based in Key West, this person in this position will have the ability to frequently and consistently travel between all WHFS offices throughout Monroe County and South Florida
- Ability to travel for statewide meetings and training as needed by CEO
Director of Community Based Care Benefits-
- Starting salary is $100K+, commensurate with child welfare and prevention services experience.
