Quiet Waters Outreach is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to serving adults with Developmental Disabilities in Oregon. We are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated, and passionate team members to serve as part time and on-call Direct Support Professionals for our overnight respite program.

We are thrilled to be offering these services again to guests/families so we are seeking 1 new additions to our team!

Quiet Waters Bed & Breakfast is designed as a weekend stay for guests with developmental disabilities. This gives our guests a chance to make friends, take a vacation from their everyday life and most importantly have fun while in a safe environment.

All positions would be for our Overnight Respite program (QWO Bed & Breakfast) which are part time and will supervise five guests participating in the weekend program.

Tigard location shifts available:
Fridays at 5:30pm - Saturdays at 6pm This is a paid sleeping position.

Duties include:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe living environment
• Ensuring the health and safety of adult guests with developmental disabilities
• Preparing meals for the guests while at program.
• Leading and assisting the guests in worthwhile and enjoyable activities, games and excursions that promote positive social, spiritual and mental growth throughout their stay
• Assist some clients with mobility, eating and medication administration
• Driving guests around in the community to activities in organization’s vehicle (ie bowling, arcades, local parks, theaters and much more).
• Ability to support guests if needing supports around mobility.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• First Aid and CPR is required or will need to be obtained if hired.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check per State of Oregon standards

Quiet Waters will provide efficient medication training as well as overall training for new employees.

This is a great opportunity for a students whom reside in the area year round or for anyone who seeks weekend employment. Great way to support the community, have fun and log a chunk of hours. Very rewarding and fun position.

Since this program is expanding, the frequency's of shifts available will increase in the coming month.

Medical & dental benefits offered if full-time employment (not currently hiring full-time but potential). Retirement benefits offered after 2 years of employment for both part-time and full-time.
