The Product Owner (PO) is a member of the Agile Product Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog. This role is instrumental in driving day-to-day development for Retail Pharmacy initiatives that generate multi-million-dollar business value to the organization and touch millions of consumers. Responsible for streamlining the execution of team priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features/ components for the team. The PO has a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the team and quality control and is the only team member empowered to accept stories as done. This role has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the local team, including working with Product Management, who is responsible for the Program Backlog, to prepare for the Program Increment (PI) Planning meeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the IT Product Owner, Product Manager, and Business Stakeholders to write user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Works closely with the team on user story refinement
  • Participates in Scrum ceremonies including story point estimation
  • Helps troubleshoot defects to determine root cause and expedite resolution
  • Performs on-the-spot user story demonstrations for Business and IT Product Owners and other stakeholders to validate functionality
  • Collaborates with the POs and Team to ensure understanding of customer requirements and to provide technical guidance
  • Collaborate and provide visibility into UX guidelines and ensure the direction
  • Assists with updates to user manuals and release notes

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 90,000
Maximum: 180,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional IT experience
  • 5+ years of required experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Consulting, IT, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in agile product development
  • SAFe Certification
  • Knowledge and understanding of the CVS Health software development lifecycle (SEP)
  • Experience in the healthcare industry with preferred knowledge of retail pharmacy programs and business domains
  • Familiarity with agile processes, such as Scrum, Kanban, and/or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Background experience combining both technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Agile proficiency with knowledge of Scrum ceremonies, product backlogs, features, and user story writing
  • Strong critical thinker with analytical skills and experience using data to resolve issues and impediments
  • Proactive leader with the ability to drive collaboration, engage, influence, and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)

Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
