Job Summary
Assists in the planning and implementation of department development initiatives. Leads the administration and generation of program resources, communication, design and development of operating goals, objectives, and protocols. Serves as primary point for development services and operational matters for the development team. Provides technical, professional guidance, consultation, and support. Serves as primary point for program administration and operational matters. Provides technical, administrative and programmatic guidance, consultation, and support.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinates and administers all facets and activities related to day-to-day operations of the department
2. Supports daily operational needs of AVP and other key leaders in division as required.
3. Develops, plans and coordinates the administration and execution of programs, special projects, events and other initiatives designed to achieve the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the division
4. Prepares and delivers presentations and collateral for program and/or department and events as requested
5. Serves as liaison with internal and external clients on all matters relating to program activities
6. Provides and/or coordinates the provision of technical guidance, consultation, related support to internal and external clientele within the division
7. May be responsible for tracking and monitoring budget for each fiscal year and prepares feedback and reports on progress towards financial goals
8. Coordinates the collection, compilation, and analysis of development activity data, prepares comprehensive program reports and evaluation summaries
9. May supervise and/or lead staff and/or students assistants, as assigned
10. Other administrative and professional duties as assigned including providing support for the VP of Advancement/CEO of KSU Foundation in the absence of the Executive Assistant
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Required Experience
One (1) year of experience in higher education, advancement, fundraising, or another related field
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in higher education, public sector, or non-profits preferred
Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/NXT or other advancement CRM platform

Demonstrated professional knowledge and operational expertise within designated area of program focus
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, Raiser's Edge/NXT, Banner, or other advancement management systems)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
