Job Summary:

The Dental Assistant will provide patient care, take x rays, keep records, and schedule appointments. RJ Dental Smiles is a modern family dental practice with a stress free work environment, paid time off, 3 day weekends, free dental care, bonuses and a 401k retirement plan with match.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs all dental assistant functions according to policies.
• Welcome patients to the dental office.
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort.
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed.
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked.
• Accepts, understands, and follows office policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all OSHA, CDC/infection control, and state dental board regulations.
• Assist with other duties as needed, including sterilization and front desk.
• Your job responsibilities may change over time to include tasks that are reasonably requested of you.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
• Able to provide great patient care.

Education and Experience:

• Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assisting program.
• On-the-job training is available for the right individual
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, leaning and bending.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
