Title: Delivery Driver

Reports To: Manager on Duty

Summary of Position:

Responsible for transporting food items in a safely and timely manner to customers who have placed an order for home or business delivery. You will be delivering to top-notch customers so you must communicate clearly and professionally. Your duties involve ensuring timely delivery of food items at the assigned route, ensuring delivery vehicle is in good working condition, reviewing delivery details with customers to ensure accuracy of items ordered meet their needs, knowing and understanding the exact location of delivery including building entrance, floor level and contact information; loading and unloading parcels from your vehicle and supporting daily operations of online delivery. To succeed as a delivery driver, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing the best service to our customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
• Must have good working vehicle with Proof of Insurance.
• Must have GPS or a cell phone with Maps for locating delivery addresses.
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with customers.
• Review and verify order requests to ensure accuracy before leaving the building to include: checking off all items ordered for delivery, ensuring all side items are included, double-checking to ensure proper utensils, condiments, beverages and flyers are included.
• Inspect delivery containers to ensure they are in the best condition for food service.
• Contact customers to confirm delivery details.
• Maintain delivery logs and records.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of the delivery vehicle.
• Process payment transactions and any other necessary paperwork.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel.
• Have general knowledge of the restaurant and menu.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Possess a Valid Driver’s License.
• Should maintain professionalism.
• Strong conversation skills.
• Able to work during weekends and holidays.
• Should possess a clean driving record.
• Strong time management skills.
• Willingness to adhere to schedule and safety procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
