Metro One LPSG is looking for a Paralegal to support our national portfolio. You will be located in our Morristown, NJ, or Staten Island office to provide legal, project and high-level legal and administrative support to the Metro One LPSG executive team. Your workstation will be hybrid to maximize productivity. You will interface directly with internal and external clients to help negotiate successful agreements, meet deadlines, and contribute to our financial growth.

Specific Responsibilities:

· Demonstrate knowledge of contract law and contract management.

· Lead negotiations with potential business partners, customers and others, working directly with Legal, Procurement and Operating departments.

· Draft legal documents and coordinate with stakeholders regarding compliance with corporate obligations, business goals and applicable laws.

· Assist counsel with initial fact investigation for pending and potential litigation, consumer matters, and state agency correspondence.

· Identify relevant document and data sources within the company, coordinate the collection of and analyze company documents and data for discovery and other requests.

· Identification, collection, and review of documents for production in compliance with Federal and State Rules.

· Assist in managing outside law firm paralegals, vendors, dealers, agents, including determination and implementation of cost containment.

Position Requirements:

· Position requires discretion, independent judgment, and critical thinking skills for the review of service agreements with potential or current clients, and participation in the continuing negotiations that ultimately lead to consensus and new customer relationships.

· Strong communication skills required to effectively gather relevant information from both internal and external business sources, interact and negotiate with others, both inside and outside the company.

· Strong writing and analytical skills required to independently review, draft, and prepare documents.

· Strong organizational, project management and multitasking skills to manage multiple matters, set own work priorities and meet required work deadlines.

· Provide support to internal clients in review of completed template agreements, including sales agreements, consulting agreements, etc. Prepare amendments and other contract correspondence and documents under attorney supervision. Manage contract approval process and assist in the execution of completed contracts.

· Maintain and organize various documents and files as part of the company Master Contract File, to include expiration date alerts, rate increase alerts, and maintenance of system files.

· Evaluate contract management software then select and integrate “best fit” options for Metro One’s growing library.

Key Requirements:

· Associates or bachelor’s preferred

· Paralegal Certificate

· 5-10 years working as a paralegal

· Strong paralegal skills

· Proficiency on standard software (Microsoft Office). Experience with Legal department software, such as billing and contract management programs preferred; if necessary, demonstrate ability to learn and operationalize these systems

· Ability to work with and communicate effectively to all levels of the organization, including Senior Management

· Willingness to assist wherever needed, including administrative task
