DuPont Circleville Site is looking for Continuous Improvement Leader to help drive margin improvement and / or EBITDA growth while delivering superior value to our customers.

The focus of the Continuous Improvement Leader is to lead the sitewide implementation of the DuPont Operational Excellence Framework to drive value capture using Lean, Six Sigma, Digitalization and Agile practices across the site. This role will serve as the site’s change agent/leader, facilitator, coach, and project leader for continuous improvement. The site Continuous Improvement Leader will take direction from the Site Manager and partner with the Business Unit business and integrated operations Continuous Improvement Director and Organization on project priority, methodology and, if needed, staffing. The Site Continuous Improvement Improvement Leader will also work with other sites within the line of business to ensure leveraging of ideas, tools and methods.

The Continuous Improvement Leader is responsible for improving operational performance and capability within the site and is expected to contribute to the overall growth of operational excellence across DuPont. The successful candidate will be accountable for the achievement of specific measurable improvement goals established with the Site Leadership Team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work with the site leadership team to establish a common view of the current state operational maturity, the key opportunities for improvement (margin, EBITDA and operational maturity) and a roadmap to Operational Excellence.
  • Lead integration and planning of the site’s implementation / roll out of the Dupont OPEX Framework
  • Lead / coach improvement projects from opportunity definition (data analysis, voice of the customer, problem definition) to realization and financial validation through application of DuPont’s Industry 4.0 Operational Excellence approach (combining Lean, Six Sigma and Agile)
  • Lead workshops and mentor site leadership and team members in Operational Excellence techniques and approaches (for example 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen…)
  • Launch improvement projects across multiple functions/sites and drafts charters for improvement projects with clearly defined benefits, scope, resource requirements and project plan with milestones and timeline.
  • Serve as a local champion for impact tracking and validation (Opportunity Tracking Tool)
  • Actively participate in network meeting for learning / success sharing among peer group.
  • Introduce new approaches, tools, concepts, ability to the site in concert with the larger CI network.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Science, or Information Technologies
  • Outstanding drive for impact and ability to lead through teaching and coaching
  • A minimum of 5 years of continuous improvement experience with strong knowledge of and experience in Lean, Six Sigma and Agile
  • Experience as a line leader, supervisor, or project team leader
  • Experience managing projects from start to finish
  • Demonstrated behavior/performance aligned with core values
