Position Overview:

This position will support Global Business Initiatives and Local IT Groups Across the US and Canada. This person will be highly organized, providing project planning / timelines and maintaining a high sense of personal drive. The successful candidate will have many years of working in the IT Solutions space, working with various cloud computing platforms, and have experience working with teams and providing mentorship to help grow internal skill sets.

This is a REMOTE, full-time position! Reporting directly to the Global Enterprise Architect, the Solutions Architect will play a key role in providing IT Architect guidance and designs while leading implementations.

Key Responsibilites:

• Security Review: Lead the analysis of the current cloud-based technology environment to detect critical deficiencies. Review design strategies and recommend solutions for improvements in function and security.
• In partnership with the Enterprise Architect, lead the creation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure architecture and application migration plans covering a wide range of infrastructure technologies intersecting traditional data center (hyperconverged systems, storage, backup, network) and cloud (AWS and Azure).
• Facilitate technical requirements analysis and communication between technical delivery teams and the business to identify and develop scalable and organization-wide solutions.
• Work in coordination with the Global Enterprise Architecture function to align technology objectives with higher level roadmaps and strategies.
• Coordinate with Business leaders and Project Managers to plan IT projects, and track progress, in an accurate and clear manner for reporting.
• Assist with designing the governance activities associated with ensuring enterprise cloud infrastructure architecture compliance.
• Lead and organize global technology project delivery with local IT team members.

What you bring to the table:

• Experience in Design and Troubleshooting cloud-based networking stacks, VPCs, WAFs, cloud based firewalls
• Advance level scripting skills with multiple languages (e.g PowerShell, bash, etc.)
• Experience in mentoring team members and leading technical teams
• Advance knowledge of Cloud and Application Delivery platforms.
• Experience with AWS security.
• Working knowledge of the shared responsibility model and its impact on design decisions
• Understanding of security principles across various domains (network security, identity & access management, web application security, data security, etc.)
• Functional experience with: VMware, Datacenters/Colo, Palo Alto Firewalls, MSSQL, MySQL, AWS EC2, Azure SQL, S3, Lambda, IAM
• Positive leader and team builder. Proven ability to coach and mentor teammates.
• Able to grasp technical concepts quickly and communicate them to team members.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Takes initiative and is proactive.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to self-prioritize multiple requests.
• Self-motivated and have a high sense of urgency.

Foundations of your career:

• 7-10+ years of successful experience in Technology Solutions architecture.?Expert level knowledge in provisioning and maintain cloud-based infrastructure in AWS and Azure
