Position Description:

The Chiropractic Assistant performs chiropractic modalities as prescribed by, and under the supervision of, the Doctor of Chiropractic. This position requires skills in performing therapeutic modalities such as heat packs, cold packs, ultrasound, electrostimulation, cold laser, and traction. This position also requires the taking of X-rays. The Chiropractic Assistant must be organized, approachable, friendly, and able to multitask, working with multiple patients at a time. This is an onsite clinical support position, with occasional travel in between clinic locations as necessary, and no remote work option.

Position Duties:

• Escorts patients to the therapy room
• Administers Chiropractic Modalities under the Chiropractors’ directive
• Follows appropriate clinical protocols
• Administers modalities for which the Chiropractic Assistant has been properly trained and screened
• Takes X-rays
• Document therapies completed for the Doctor of Chiropractic
• Assists in gathering Net Promoter Score participation from the patients
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Or Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or 1-2 years as a trained Medical Assistant, or Military Medical Specialist with current credentials
• Basic computer skills

Position Miscellaneous:

• Hourly (Non-Exempt)
• Must be able to travel to other AICA clinics as needed within a specific zone
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed
• Must have reliable transportation
