We are in search of a passionate individual who loves early childhood education and shaping our next generation of children with an enthusiasm for learning. The Center Director will oversee a Child Care Center and a seasonal summer camp program. Both programs are located on the same campus on the Northshore of Suffolk county.

Essential Responsibilities As a leader for our center, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the child development program which encompasses but is not limited to:

• Establish policies and center-specific goals to achieve, maintain compliance and delivery of a high-quality program.
• Overseeing appropriate budgeting, financial planning, resource utilization, and implementation of systems to create efficiency.
• Maximizing enrollment and marketing the center's programs within the local community.
• Recruitment, development and retention of new staff members.
• Supervise staff and provide observation and feedback on a consistent basis.
• Outstanding communication skills required with children, parents, team and BOD.
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment at all times
• Stepping into classrooms as needed

Required Experience

• Minimum of an Bachelor’s degree with a CDA in Child Development or related field
• Have knowledge and understanding of OCFS, NYAEC, and CACFP regulations
• Possess prior experience leading a team of child care professionals along with the ability to establish and maintain a budget and enrollment- minimum 2 years
• Strong background and demonstrated success with running high quality preschool & school-age programs- minimum 3 years
• Proficient in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum and project based learning cultivated through the interests of children
• Exemplifies excellent customer service by making authentic connections with our families, school, and community

Education:

• A Bachelor’s Degree with 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field + 1 year full time teaching experience in a child care program + 1 year of supervising staff in a child care program
• A NYS Children's Program Administrator Credential AND the same teaching & supervising experience as noted above.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
