Job description

Full Time position in our Shenandoah County (Mt Jackson) facility.

Hours: 8:00 am –3:30 pm (hours may vary at times).

Responsibilities to include;

· Plans and implements a daily schedule of activities that incorporates a variety of skill building activities.

· Maintains appropriate records related to individual activity. Works with Program Coordinators in assisting with the development of individual outcomes, assessments and behavioral plans.

· Completes daily attendance and progress notes on individuals.

· Attends meetings and trainings as required.

· Ensures overall safety of individuals and enforces/safeguards individuals’ rights.

· Assists individuals with toileting and personal hygiene.

· Works with individuals and staff to create a productive, safe and pleasurable atmosphere.

· Communicates to families, individual's and staff successfully both verbally and in writing.

· Assists Program Coordinators as needed.

· Plans and implements activities, community outings and special events.

· Reports health and safety issues with individuals to Program Coordinators.

· Maintains a clean and safe environment.

· Supervises individuals at time of departure.

· Ensures that outings are completed each month.

· Assists individuals at break and lunch time (snack & meal prep).

· Must follow SPI vehicle guidelines and policy.

· Follows medication administration policies and procedures.

· Substitutes for other jobs as needed.

· Must be on time, regular in attendance and meets attendance standards.

· A team player who works with other Activity Coordinators and the Program Director to develop fun and educational ideas to make the program an educational and entertaining place for individuals to come and increase their skills.

· All other duties as assigned by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $14.00 per hour
