JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities of this position are to analyze new and lost business opportunities within our Sysco Broadline companies, analyze existing customer profitability and participate in new business strategy and feasibility planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acquire and validate data from prospective new customers within the Sysco Broadline Groups we service.
  • Participate in Sysco Broadline General Sales Meetings, district huddles, New Sales Consultant training and quarterly strategic planning.
  • Partner with Premium protein specialist and Center of the plate category managers to help provide a robust portfolio of products to stock to service customer’s needs.
  • Tasked with growth and conversions of the Patty partnership.
  • Provide relevant data and direction to Distribution Services, Purchasing, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to analyze the impact of the new business.
  • Validate the reasonability of the departmental input and modify it as necessary.
  • Work with our inside sales team on fill rates and alternatives with constant communication between both sides.
  • A conduit to corporate initiatives and new business through our site to the Sysco Broadlines.
  • Participation of Aged inventory meetings and outlets, seasonal and monthly specials.
  • Participation and preparation for our regional meetings with Sysco Broadline.
  • Full knowledge and hands on experience of all our production rooms is mandatory.
  • Assist in preparation of RFP submission of pricing and reporting.
  • Participate as requested in meetings with potential new customers to obtain data and explain proposals.
  • Analyze the profitability and recommend margin schedules internally.
  • “What if” scenarios on ways to improve profitability.
  • Continually refining our business operations to our Sysco Broadline to improve accuracy and timeliness and fill rates.
  • Leadership roll in tasks and accountability on follow through.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
4-year degree in business, marketing, or related field
Experience
Plus, a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in sales, or the food distribution industry.
Sysco experience strongly preferred.
Premium Protein sales experience.
Highly Analytical in detail and objectives.

Physical Demands
Must be able to communicate clearly via telephone and personal contact with customers and other company personnel
Mental/Visual Demands
Must be able to read at a distance close to the eyes. Driving requires distance vision
Travel
Travel by automobile and air 50% - 75% is required
Equipment Operated
Automobile, Personal Computer with Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
License, Certificates, and Registration
Valid driver’s license and certificate of auto insurance as defined in Company Policy
