School-Age Before & After Care Teacher/Bus-Driver

Bedford Heights Daycare is a 5-Star Step-Up to Quality center that delivers a high quality program to both children and parents. We are searching for a School-Age Before & After Care Teacher with the ability to drive our students to and from school using our 14 passenger daycare bus. This applicant must have a clean driving record and be dedicated to providing a safe and fun atmosphere for children to enjoy. This is a full-time position.

Essential Duties:

• Our before and after care school-age teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing an ongoing program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child enrolled in our before and after school program
• Qualified for and comfortable with driving a 14 passenger bus. Requirements include being 25 years of age or older with a clean driving record and valid license. Experience in driving a passenger bus is a plus but not required. We will train the candidate on this task if necessary
• Possess organizational skills so that each child is accounted for while loading and unloading the bus and is tracked in our attendance application so that the center and parents are aware of where their children are at all times
• Our ideal candidate will be flexible and cooperative so that we can schedule a full day’s work for this position. This employee may be asked to work as a floater or to assist in building maintenance tasks during the hours children are at school

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Required
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean Driving Record Required
• Must be able to pass FBI/BCI Background Check
• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Applicants must be willing to complete 12 hours of required training to work in childcare
• Experience driving a passenger bus a plus but not required
