Barista

Job Summary:

The Barista is primarily responsible for taking orders, preparing beverages, and serving guests at Portside Coffee & Gelato. This position is also responsible for cleanliness and safety of coffee & gelato shop areas of the property.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver an amazing guest experience with fast and friendly service

Answer questions about the menu, take orders, and process payment

Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu, with the ability to make suggestions

Prepare and serve beverages consistently adhering to all recipe standards

Anticipate guests needs and exceed customer service expectations

Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies

Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment

Respond urgently and appropriately to guests needs

Present in professional appearance and mannerisms

Ensure guests are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems

Concludes the guest experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return

Complete assigned sidework at the beginning, during, and at end of shift

Qualifications/Requirements: Friendly, energetic, detail-oriented team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment! Coffee experience is a plus but not required. We offer on-the-job training.
