Helpr is a care service platform that supports families in finding excellent full and part time primary and emergency (or backup) childcare providers, full and part time adult care providers/caregivers, and birth workers including doulas and Newborn Care Specialists.

*Please note - candidates will be hired by, work for, and paid directly by the hiring family*

We’re currently looking for a Babysitter in Southwest Berkeley.

A lovely family in Berkeley is looking for a babysitter for their 6 month old infant. Typical needs will be daytime hours Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. Advance notice can often be provided (for example, family knows they need care April 3-5 and July 3 and 5) but also may need late notice care for school closures, sick days, etc. Family expects to need care a few times each month.

  • Schedule: As needed during daytime hours throughout the week *No guaranteed hours* - Family knows they need care April 3, 4, 5 and July 3 & 5 as of now
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Long term
  • 1 child - 6 months old
  • Rate: $35/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • All aspects of infant care
  • Cleaning bottles used throughout the day
  • Engagement & interaction
  • Outings (walks to the park, etc)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of infant care experience
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • CPR certified or willing to become certified
  • Must have valid photo identification for screening purposes
  • Up to date on COVID, tdap, and flu vaccines

Compensation: Position pays $35 per hour and family needs care sporadically (approximately 3 times/month) long term - no guaranteed weekly hours

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Infant care: 2 years (Required)
  • Nannying: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CPR Certificate or are you willing to obtain one? (Required)
