Midas of Angola is seeking a technician for our busy auto repair and service shop in Angola. We need a skilled and experienced tech who is well-versed in repairing and servicing all makes and models of vehicles.

Our shop is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 until 5:00 and Saturday from 8:00 until 3:00 with every Sunday off! Techs will typically work 5 days each week unless a business need necessitates an additional day. This tech must be well-versed in complex mechanical and electrical systems of vehicles and be an excellent problem-solver. He or she must also be able to explain technical issues to customers so they can make well-informed decisions. You must provide your own tools; specialty tools are available if needed and are provided by the company.

This position is hourly and production-based. You are paid the greater of the two, so pay is commensurate with volume of work completed. This means, the more cars we have, the more money you make! This is a great way to get paid for the work you do rather than just punching a time clock!

General duties include:

• Inspect vehicle mechanical, electronic, and electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Conduct routine maintenance (fluid replacement, lubrication, etc.).
• Repair/replace broken or malfunctioning parts.

Job Qualifications:

• Proven automotive repair experience (2 years+).
• Excellent working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components.
• Ability to use various tools and heavy equipment such as vehicle lift.
• Excellent physical condition including the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• High school diploma or certification from a vocational/apprenticeship program.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• ASE certification is a plus.

Pay is commensurate with experience and skill level. The range in this posting is the minimum and may be adjusted based on candidate qualifications. In addition to great pay, we offer retirement, paid time off, paid holidays, weekly pay, and direct deposit. We also provide uniforms at no cost to our employees, and we will reimburse testing fees for additional certifications.
