Job Summary
The Associate Underwriter, primary function is to provide administrative support for Underwriters within Kelly. However, the job does have significant potential for upward mobility as the candidate will be trained in all aspects of underwriting. The underwriting support services would include: generating loss runs, reviewing renewal submissions, premium payment follow-ups and more administrative duties. This person would require support and guidance from others to manage their desks and effectively process their work with accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Generating Loss Runs
- Generate Loss Runs, as needed
Clearance
- Every submission we get, we clear it.
- Enter submission itself – name, address.
- Entering the basic data
“OFAC” checks ( https://sanctionssearch.ofac.treas.gov/error.aspx?refresh=true)
- Government websites, to check if on terrorism list.
- In every file, must have document on file.
- Enter Name insured into Gov database and add confirmation in our system once cleared.
Simple Endorsements
- Insured address change
- Extend policy period
Renewal Solicitations
· Generate a report, send renewal apps.
Payment Follow-up’s
Follow-up for Subjectivities
Issue Quotes, Binders, Invoices, & Policies.
Salesforce experience would be a plus.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in business, finance or related
- Legally able to work in the United States
If you are the right person for the job, you will have:
- High degree of practical experience of providing exceptional customer service.
- Understanding of basic business principles and processes including planning and strategizing.
- Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and assign priority.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently both with and without direct supervision within a team and independently.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
- A high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires teamwork, demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Firm grasp of English language with above average verbal, written and interpersonal skills to interact with associates and clients at all levels of responsibility.

Pay: $43,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
