Job Purpose

As Aircraft Transition Specialist you will manage projects related to the transition of the aircraft (End of Lease (EOL), Entry into service (EIS) and inter-Group aircraft transfers). You will ensure that each project is delivered on time, to the agreed specification and within budget. In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating / facilitating routine annual and mid-term audits of the physical aircraft and associated aircraft records.

Main Accountabilities

• Supervision and management aircraft delivery / redelivery projects in accordance with all regulatory requirements, company procedures and standards
• Coordinate the lease return with lessor – initial meeting, final closure, negotiation of exclusions
• Coordinate delivery / redelivery activities within Technical Services aligned with the Company and the Local Authority requirements.
• Compensation negotiations & follow-up during the deliveries and redeliveries
• Creation of executive report about the EOL projects and program
• Participation in Invoice checking and cost control of deliveries, warranty management and redeliveries and report disputes in the defined timeframes
• Support RFPs for new technical specifications or subcontracted services related to Fleet Transition
• Other tasks stipulated by the Transition Manager

Main Relationships

• External suppliers, owners and with internal Vueling departments.
  

Education

• Engineering or maintenance management degree or an appropriate B1/B2 Part 66 license.

Experience

• Broad knowledge of aircraft, maintenance, and regulatory requirements with ability to understand the detail and judge the airworthiness and commercial impact.
• A320 family aircraft technical knowledge at both management and working level.
• Project management experience with proven skills.
• Minimum 3 years commercial aviation work experience, preferably with an airline or leasing company background.

• Strong negotiation skills

Languages

• English: C1. Good verbal and written understanding of English ability to understand relevant legal and contractual wording.

Other

• Willingness to travel at short notice and for extended periods
• Excellent knowledge of AMOS.
