The Volvo Construction Equipment Haulers Ltd. site located in Motherwell, Scotland, designs and manufactures Rigid & Articulated Trucks for distribution around the globe. The company is part of Volvo Construction Equipment, and the site has manufactured trucks for over 70 years.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Aftermarket Accounts Controller to join our busy Aftermarket Parts team based in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned dealer / customer accounts by which is split by region. This includes enquiries, technical or otherwise, receiving and processing orders in a professional and timely manner.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include;
- Management of customer parts orders – full process from order though to invoice
- Back-order management (order fulfillment) / ship direct PO’s
- Inventory Management - Parts Planning and process replenishment PO’s
- Customer Service order updates, lead times, general enquiries
- Customer Service query / complaints - handling and solution.
- Freight billing
- Transport Shipping – Liaison with carriers & haulers and preparation of documentation as required.
- Interface with US 3PL warehouse to resolve issues, and identify priorities
- Interface with OEM warehouse on order status / all parts issues
- Health & Safety Standards
To be successful in the role, you will have;
- Previous Involvement in Customer Service / Parts Planning environment (experience in aftermarket is highly desirable)
- Sound understanding of a Dealer/Customer network & processes
- Experience and knowledge of current product specifications and applications highly desirable
- Can demonstrate Customer focus and support in a results driven environment
- Articulate communicator, both in the written and spoken word
- Second Language – would be extremely advantageous
- Numeracy skills & computer skills (Access, Excel, Word)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts books highly desirable and advantageous
- Demonstrate understanding of customer needs / urgency
- Export, shipping knowledge would be desirable
- Ability to meet deadlines and hit targets
- Good commercial awareness
