EDUCATION STATIONS

Title: Assistant Site Coordinator- 2023-2024 School Year
Location: Melrose Public Schools
Supervisor: Site Coordinator, Program Coordinator and Program Director
Status: Part- time hourly, 18 hours/week or less, non-union, non-benefit eligible, position runs through the academic year (approximately September- June)
Pay Rate: $25.88 hour

Summary: Education Stations is Melrose Public Schools’ after school enrichment program for students. Applicants should be availability Monday-Friday from 1:30-5:30
Applicants must be flexible, positive and confident in delegating and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Assist in Managing Master Roster, check-in/check-out children, verify attendance when Site Coordinator is out or teaching.
2. Coach and supervise Instructors, team leads, and mentors
3. Lead groups of children grades K-5 through after-school enrichment activities and model Education Stations employee expectations
4. Assist with set-up and closing the site and leaving rooms in good condition
5. Step in as an Instructor or Team Lead when needed
6. Lead and model assigned activities such as art, gym games, and or small group circles
7. Regularly communicate with staff, parents, and building principals, teachers, and nurses
8. Assist with email communication
9. Assist with making a weekly site schedule
10. Assist with entering payroll information and review time sheets
11. Assistant Site Coordinators manage all incidents at the site while the SC is attending meetings or not at the site. In the event of an emergency, Assistant Site Coordinators carry out the established policy.

Qualifications:
1. High School graduate and minimum of 18 years of age
2. Certifications: CPR, First Aid
3. Demonstrated experience with elementary age students is preferred
4. Ability to remain calm and confident in multi-tasking through demanding situations and resolving conflicts
5. Experience leading, prioritizing, delegating, and working as part of a larger team
6. Punctual, Reliable and regular attendance is required
7. Ability to pass a Background Check including Fingerprinting and a CORI

The employee must have close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employment is in a school environment and activities occur inside and out. Site
Coordinators need to be able to carry up to 20lbs and may be subject to a sufficient level of noise when groups of 40 or more children are gathered for activities.
