JOB SUMMARY: The Administrative Support Specialist will create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety. Answer phone calls. Schedule patient appointments. Coordinate with counselors for availability. Completes initial eligibility check for patients and collect patient responsibility payments at the time of appointment. Ensure all items are invoiced and paid timely. The Administrative Support Specialist will carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc. Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of administrative experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook in particular). Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Demonstrates practical application and experience with technology such as database functions/reports, Microsoft Word and Excel, internet/email usage, etc. Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Exhibits strong customer services. Must be able to pass standard background checking, including drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offenders Registry.
