Job Summary:

The Administrative Clerk performs a variety of clerical, recordkeeping, and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Position located at company front gate. Greets and directs visitors and deliveries to proper people or location.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of staff to coordinate inbound deliveries and pickups.
  • Performs data entry and filing tasks for accounts payable, purchase orders, equipment inventory, and confidential employee or departmental files.
  • Receives, records, and distributes packages and mail.
  • Using Oracle computer system, checks in truck drivers making scheduled pickups and showing time in and out with such information as name of driver, trucking company, license number, etc.
  • Manage the day to day receiving of ordered parts for the entire mill. Utilizing our Oracle computer system, you will track and receive all inbound materials. The filing and organizing of bill of ladings, packing list and invoice.
  • Responsible for the opening and closing of the company’s front gate and scale area each day.
  • Presents a neat and orderly personal appearance.
  • Directs traffic at gatehouse and parking lots as required.
  • The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTCA Quality Management System and its policies, procedures and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed.
  • May perform other duties as required.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Normal office conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Frequently enters the plant to make clock rounds, bulletin board posting, emergencies, etc. Noise in manufacturing area of plant is loud.
