Rough Rider Industries (RRI) has a unique and exciting opportunity for an Accounting and Budget Specialist located on the grounds of the North Dakota State Penitentiary, in Bismarck, ND. The primary function of this position is performing fundamental budgeting and accounting duties. Summary of Work
This position performs fundamental budgeting and accounting duties for Rough Rider Industries (RRI) with an emphasis on payroll and accounts payable functions. Responsibilities are to prepare, examine, and analyze accounting and budget-related statements, reports, and supporting documents; classify, record, and report financial operations applying the theories and principles of accounting; identify, research, and resolve accounting discrepancies; analyze, allocate, and monitor expenditures and revenues; assist in the development of accounting and budgeting procedures for RRI; maintain accounting ledgers, journals, registers; and reconcile statements with records and accounting transactions.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelors degree with a major in accounting; or two years of college with major coursework in accounting and three years of directly related work experience involving duties associated with a large accounting system.
The successful candidate will have the ability to pay great attention to detail and pass standard background and criminal checks.
