ACCOUNT DIRECTOR BARCELONA - ACTIVE OPEN POSITION
Job description
The Account Director maintains and grows a specific client's business with the rest of the agency team on an ongoing basis. He directs and coordinates the day-to-day agency on behalf of one client’s product and/or service on the assigned account.
The requirements
- The ideal candidate will have 8-10 or more years of account handling experience.
- General knowledge of digital tools and glossary.
- Excellent facilitation/presentation skills, both in preparing materials required and in delivery.
- Excellent written skills.
- Excellent Public Speaker
- Great client-facing experience.
- Good English oral and written communication skills.
- Fluent in Italian. Spanish and or French would be a plus
- Great account management abilities.
- Well versed in planning campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Global experience: lived in / worked across multiple markets.
- Candidate must live in Barcelona.
Functions
- Reception and preparation of briefs.
- Analysis of the competition.
- Daily /weekly status.
- Prepare the necessary information / documents to develop projects as well as proposal submissions.
- Prepare the scope of work of projects both at budget and timing levels.
- Comprehensive monitoring of the competition.
- Coordination and management of the resources necessary for the implementation and optimal achievement of the different projects by assigning and supervising the different tasks of the teams involved.
- Coordination of the different agency teams involved in each project.
- Supervision of the assigned team according to the project.
- Reporting to the General Manager.
Profile and Experience
- University degree.
- At least 4 years in agency as Account Director.
- Comprehensive profile with offline and online knowledge.
- Passionate about creativity.
- Must be able to promote and judge good creative work
- Resolute when it comes to facing problems and able to anticipate or respond to complex situations.

- Understands completely how the agency makes money: clients, overhead, PBT, expenditures, etc, and helps to maximize revenue and growth.
- Gains their clients’ trust and regularly dialogues with clients on brand/business issues and advertising/marketing in general.
- Is responsible for the work of the client, one of the most relevant in the category.
