Summary

The primary function of this position is to delegate tasks and supervise 3PL Load Planners to ensure timely and accurate load planning and shipping.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and develop 3PL Load Planners
• Coordinate the daily shipping plan based on corporate and DC goals.
• Align with Logistics on carrier assignments, freight exceptions, freight out on sales spend to make adjustments when necessary.
• Continuous focus on improving Key Performance Indicators like service level, outbound cube and on-time shipping.
• Provide root cause analysis for exceptions, and communicate to cross functional teams.
• Analyze collect account routing sessions to identify inefficiencies and make system adjustments to avoid future occurrences.
• Create and execute a training plan for entry-level 3PL Load Planners and development plans for current 3PL Load Planners.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve delivery issues and reported claims.
• Collaborate with the 3PL leadership on planning priorities per facility.
• Complete performance management activities (including annual and mid-year reviews, corrective action and daily coaching) for assigned associates according to the Performance Management guidelines.
• Initiate and lead open conversations with direct reports and customer care to build trust.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Preferred in Related Field
Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years’ supervisory experience required.
• Intermediate computer skills required.
• Microsoft office experience required with advanced knowledge of Work and Excel strongly preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, managers, teammates, and prospective customers
• Previous experience in a Logistics and transportation environment preferred
