Job Summary
The Rotational Program Associate position allows recent college graduates the opportunity to explore and develop a variety of work experiences and skills. During the time in the program, participants will collaborate with 2-3 different teams within a department, allowing time to better understand the skill set and desired career path for the associate. Participants will build a firm knowledge of our business and company culture, as well as take part in a Talent Development curriculum focused on self-awareness and early career growth.
Possible rotations (*this list is subject to change based on needs of the business and organization).
- People & Culture - Learn the people side of our business and what it takes to attract, develop and retain the best talent.
- Credit Risk Work closely with our Sales team to ensure we are making the right choices for our business and clients on their credit approvals. Become the subject matter expert in areas like credit limit strategy, portfolio risk, and customer behavior.
- Information Technology - Explore our diverse tech stack through Infrastructure, Architecture & Information Security rotations or our agile way of working through Systems Analysis, Software Engineering and Quality Assurance
- Enterprise Data Science & Analytics – From raw data management to data visualization, stewardship, and governance, experience the world of corporate data science with several of our first-class analytics teams.
- Finance & Accounting – Work with multiple teams within Finance and Accounting to understand the areas you are interested in specializing in, whether that be financial strategy, taxes, forecasting, auditing, and more.
Essential Job Functions
Communication: Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills when working with internal and external partners. Present information in a clear, concise, and professional manner utilizing technology and innovation. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external business partners. Identify, resolve and escalate concerns (associates, system, and partner) as needed.
Documentation and Technology: Understands how to utilize knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams to execute daily work. Successfully utilize the technology expected by the organization as it relates to the role (e.g. SAS, SQL, Archer, etc.).
Compliance: Knows how to follow established guidelines for quality and productivity. Regardless of responsibility, act responsibly at all times to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
Collaboration: Learn communication skills by working across the organization throughout different departments and leadership levels to relay information accurately and effectively. Be well organized, flexible and willing to assist wherever possible. Builds relationships by establishing trust, confidence, and credibility with internal partners. Collaborates with team to establish connections across products, business units, processes, etc.
Reporting – Learn how to utilize reporting and other data to solve problems and make decisions. Analyze different Bread Financial performance metrics at various intervals, comparing actual performance to expected performance, and providing insights on variances and their causes. Utilizes knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams to execute daily work.
Business Acumen – Actively seek out opportunities to expand knowledge of the broader business. By completing overviews of teams outside the area of rotation, project interactions, or other cross functional collaboration, continuously expand knowledge of the organization, offerings, and innovations.
Time Management- Utilizes knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams to execute daily work. Demonstrates the ability to work independently, remain organized, and prioritize work in order to work on multiple projects over the same time period with accuracy and attention to detail. Utilizes critical thinking skills to help analyze business issues, collaborates with stakeholders to resolve problems, , and gains consensus on the best solution. Establishes and meets critical deadlines while prioritizing multiple activities and complex projects simultaneously

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:
Remote OR Hybrid - some in office expectations could apply dependent on team assignment. Some travel may be required. Standing or sitting for long periods of time. Ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Area of Study: Analytics, Business (all specialties), Communications, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or any other related field of major.
Preferred Experience:
Previous completion of a Bread Financial Summer Internship

Pay Range:
$18.00 - $65.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.
Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates, both full time and part time, can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.
All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Full-time hourly associates receive two grants of Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in January and July based on their service date and scheduled hours, whereas newly hired full time hourly associates in their first year of employment receive a prorated PTO grant on their 61st day of employment based on the month of hire and scheduled hours. Associates will receive a payout of any unused PTO, up to 40 hours, paid out in the next calendar year. Hourly associates receive 72 hours of Paid Sick Leave per calendar year and pro-rated in the associate’s first year of employment.
Hired associates will be able to elect to purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December.
